If you're a member of the Crochet Guild of America, they have just announced their 2017 design contest - Deadline July 8th.
I've always wanted to enter a design contest, but either read about it too late, or the project isn't finished in time, or I don't like the categories, or...
EXCUSES, EXCUSES!
As a member of CGOA, I may just enter this one. The trick is finding something I have designed, contest worthy and 'never before published anywhere - meaning no photos can have been posted of the crochet design anywhere. That is the battle I face for this one.
Most of the designs I have are published on my website, or at a minimum 'in the works' projects on my various social media sites....
I guess I will have to design something new and keep it a SECRET!

2017 Design Competition is now Open!
Calling all creative and talented CGOA Members! It is time to enter the annual design competition that showcases your talent! The entries will be displayed at conference and winners will be announced Friday evening at the Excellence in Crochet Event. You do not need to be present to win so please don't let that stop you from entering. But it is fun to be at the event and see your creation admired by your peers!
Over $5,000 in cash prizes will be awarded thanks to our very generous and supportive sponsors! They are Red Heart, Annies, Caron, Clover, Creative Yarn Source, DMC, Herrschners, Marion G. Wilburn Foundation, Susan Bates and Webs.
